Histopathology in 3D: From 3D Reconstruction to Multi-stain and Multi-modal Analysis

چکیده
Light Microscopy applied to the domain of histopathology has traditionally been a two dimensional imaging modality. Several authors, including the authors of this work, have extended the use of Digital Microscopy to three dimensions by stacking digital images of serial sections using image based registration. In this paper we give an overview of our approach, and of extensions to the approach to register multi-modal data sets such as sets of interleaved histopathology sections with different stains, and sets of histopathology images to Radiology volumes with very different appearance. Our approach involves transforming dissimilar images into a multichannel representation derived from co-occurrence statistics between roughly aligned images.

There are mainly two categories for a 3D reconstruction from 2D drawings: B-Rep and CSG that both these methods have serious weaknesses despite being useful. B-Rep method which has been older and have wider function range is problematic because of high volume of calculations and vagueness in answers and CSG method has problem in terms of very limited range of volumes and drawings that it can an...

Despite of achieving good performance in controlled environment, the conventional 3D face recognition systems still encounter problems in handling the large variations in lighting conditions, facial expression and head pose The humans use the hybrid approach to recognize faces and therefore in this proposed method the human face recognition ability is incorporated by combining global and local ...

A wind turbine transformer (WTT) is designed using a 3D wound core while the transformer’s total owning cost (TOC) and its inrush current performance realized as the two objective functions in a multi-objective optimization process. Multi-objective genetic algorithm is utilized to derive Pareto optimal solutions. The effects of inrush current improvement on other operating and design parameters...
